Rockwell Collins CMM relocation project - Wilsonville, OR

This is the relocation of a Coordinate Measuring Machine for Rockwell Collins by Precision Industrial Construction, Inc. The sensitive nature of a CMM requires very special handling and machinery moving procedures. The scientific setting in a controlled environment requires our team of machinery movers to dismantle the machine in the room. The CMM must be carefully prepared prior to any moving, our staff of machinery movers worked very closely with ZEISS representatives.

Original position in lab.

CMM Relocation: Inside the controlled measuring room.

CMM undressed and stabilized for travel.

Removal of auto-leveling / support system.

Onto "Poly Dolly" roller system for travel inside lab.

Manuvering the CMM down the narrow hallways.

CMM on the truck for transport to new location.

Off the truck at the new facility.

Down the Hallways (a little wider this time).

Into the new Lab (on carpet floors).

Set up of the auto-leveling / support system.

CMM set in new position in new lab.

Fully dressed, aligned and ready to work.
